What is hemp?
Hemp is a low THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) cannabis plant that is jam packed with nutrient dense seeds. Hemp can also be used to make clothing, plastic, paper, construction materials, biofuel and rope, it has over 25,000 different uses. Although it is a part of the cannabis family, hemp is completely legal to consume in Australia and can not get you high.
Is hemp illegal?
Hemp is legal to consume in Australia as it contains 0.005% (50mg/kg) or less of THC, which is not enough to cause any effect to the human body or show up in roadside drug tests.
Does hemp contain CBD?
Our hemp food products do not contain anymore than 0.0075% (75mg/kg) of CBD (cannabidiol) which is not enough to receive the benefits of CBD. Higher amounts of CBD can be found in the leaves and stalk of the hemp plant, which are commonly used in the process of producing CBD oil. Unfortunately, there are many legal parameters around the production and selling of CBD oil in Australia, you will need to consult a medical practitioner to begin this process.
What is CBD?
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabis sativa plant also known as hemp. It's a naturally occurring substance that's used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike the compound THC, CBD does not have any psychoactive properties.
How is hemp seed oil different from CBD oil?
Hemp Seed Oil is made from the nutrient dense seeds of the hemp plant whereas CBD Oil is made from the leaves and stalk of the hemp plant. The Hemp Seed Oil contains less than 0.0075% (75mg/kg) of CBD and doesn't contain any of the benefits associated with CBD. Hemp Seed Oil is used as a food product to increase your essential fatty acid update, whereas CBD Oil is used for medical purposes.
Do you sell CBD oil?
Due to the legal parameters surrounding the selling and production of CBD products in Australia, we do not currently sell any CBD products
Can I take hemp seed oil orally?
Most definitely! If you want to enjoy the benefits of Hemp Seed Oil without adding it to your meal you can simply take the recommended serving orally.
Can hemp help reduce inflammation?
Absolutely! Hemp contains the ideal ratio of the essential fatty acids, omega 3, 6 and 9. Research has shown that these nutrients assist in reducing inflammation in the body and have helped treat skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and acne) and rheumatoid arthritis.
Where should I store my hemp products?
Our hemp products are best stored in a cool, dry place other than our Hemp Seed Oil. We recommend refrigerating the oil where possible.
